Safari Itinerary

Day 1Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi

We will meet you at the airport for transfer to your city hotel.
Accommodation on bed and breakfast basis

Day 2Nairobi - Nai Nami Tour

Experience first hand the ‘other side’ of Nairobi through the Nai Nami Tour.
Nai Nami offers a unique and inspiring way to experience Nairobi through the eyes of former street children. It is a guided tour (Approx 2.5hours) by one of the former street children, deep into the Nairobi largest slums. They share their life stories, street skills, and insights during a one-on-one walking tour around downtown Nairobi. Explore how they survived and transformed, with insights into their journeys and living situations. The tour includes local lunch and a soft drink.
Accommodation at your city hotel on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 3Nairobi - Limuru Tea/Coffee Farms

Pick up from your hotel in Nairobi and drive to Limuru approximately 1.5hrs away.
Arrive at 11am and over a cup of tea or coffee the history of the farm and process of making tea is informally explained, followed by an opportunity to see tea in the field.

Take a walk in the indigenous forest with our resident Kenyan guide.
Return to the house to enjoy a pre-lunch drink .Lunch is served about 1pm and is a three course buffet lunch from set menu prepared with vegetables from the garden and desserts are topped with cream from our herd of Channel Island cows.
Later in the afternoon drive back to Nairobi for overnight stay on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 4Nairobi - Subukia Valley (approx. 3hrs drive)

Drive to Muringa Farm is a 10-hectare estate located in the Subukia Valley, 40 km northeast of Nakuru. This is an eco-facility run by a French couple living in Kenya since 2008.
The activities at the farm are focused manly on eco-volunteering and responsible tourism and themed stays including courses (animal communication, personal development, well-being, yoga, dance therapy, meditation, trail running) followed by photo safaris.

Day 5Lake Nakuru National Park

Day trip to Lake Nakuru National Park, the ornithologists paradise. Lunch will be at a lakeshore hotel.
You will have scenic stops at Thompson’s Falls and the Equator. Later drive back to the Bandas for overnight stay.

Day 6Subukia Valley - Loita Hills (approx. 5hr drive)

Breakfast, check out and drive to Loita Hills.
Arrive for lunch. Afternoon spent in Camp Orientation, Guided Nature Walk and Maasai Manyatta visit. Late afternoon “Maasai style” Fire Making presentation followed by winding down the day with camp fire stories.

Day 7Loita Hills - Masai Cultural Immersion

Full day activities will be organized for you that day. Starting with morning Loita Hills trek for splendid views
over the area, followed by afternoon lunch relaxation, preparing for an afternoon descent into
Maji Moto village centre and Hot Springs, to check out how life runs in these small remote African village.
A local school visit can be organized on request. You can decide to sponsor a child or provide much needed school supplies.

Day 8-10Masai Mara National Reserve (approx. 1hr drive)

Drive to Masai Mara for 3nights stay at Nashulai Conservancy.
Nashulai Conservacny is the first Maasai conservancy in the Maasai Mara to be created, governed and managed by the Masai. The conservancy speciliazes in volunteer tourism with several activities open for participation.

Volunteer programs in schools and women development projects are open to you.
You can also share your services and skills to the community by participating in social economic projects.
Safari activities include game drives in Masai Mara, Masai village walks, bush meals, traditional dances among others.

Day 11Nairobi - JKIA

Drive back to the city and later transfer to JKIA for your onward flight home.
