“Notice To Travelers Planning To Visit Tanzania,” the government of Tanzania has announced an official ban on the entry of all plastic carrier bags effective June 1, 2019, according to a press statement from the Vice President’s office.
All plastic carrier bags regardless of their thickness will be prohibited from being imported, exported, manufactured, sold, stored, supplied and used in Tanzania.
It’s good to note that a special desk will be set up at entry points to enforce the ban.
