This park is one of the smallest national parks that were gazette to protect the mountain gorillas. This area is an important water catchment area for several rivers which in turn supply the surrounding local farms. It’s considered the richest forest in Uganda in terms of plant species and boasts steep hills. This park is home to most of the few remaining gorillas and bird species.
